Política de Privacidad APP GRS

Global Radio System S.L. respects your privacy. This policy explains what personal data the GRS PTT mobile app processes, why it is processed, who can receive it, how long it is kept, and the choices available to you.

1. Who is responsible for your data?

GRS PTT is operated by Global Radio System S.L., Pol. Ind. Argentum, C/ Platino 1, Edif. Delios, 41909 Salteras, Sevilla, Spain. You can contact us at [email protected].

GRS PTT is designed for users authorized by an organization. If your organization creates or manages your account, it may determine the purposes of workplace communications, group membership and location monitoring. In that case, your organization may be the data controller for those activities and Global Radio System S.L. may process the data on its behalf. We are responsible for the personal data we use for our own service administration, security and support. Your organization may provide an additional privacy notice.

2. Data we process

  • Account and organization data: your username or account ID, login credentials, organization, groups, contacts and access permissions.
  • Communications: push-to-talk voice transmissions, message content, selected recipients or groups, and photos, videos or files that you choose to send, together with related timestamps and delivery information.
  • Location: if you grant location access and use an active PTT session, the app may obtain and send precise location information, including coordinates, accuracy and movement information. Location updates may continue while the app is in the background when iOS permits this.
  • Technical and service data: information needed to connect and protect the service, which may include IP address, device and app details, connection times, service status and diagnostic records.
  • Data on your device: the app may keep message history, attachments, account and server settings on your device. If you choose to remember your login, the password is stored in the iOS Keychain.

We receive this information from you, your device, your organization, other users who communicate with you, and the technical operation of the service. We do not use GRS PTT data to sell personal information or for targeted advertising.

3. Why we use data and our legal bases

We use personal data to authenticate authorized users; provide group and individual PTT communications and messages; deliver attachments; show contacts and group status; provide location features requested by the customer; maintain service reliability and security; respond to support requests; and meet applicable legal obligations.

Where Global Radio System S.L. acts as controller, the applicable legal basis depends on the activity: performance of a contract with you where applicable; our legitimate interests in providing and securing the service and supporting authorized users; compliance with a legal obligation; or consent where consent is required for an optional activity. Where your organization acts as controller, it determines and explains the legal basis for its use of the service, including any workplace location monitoring. Granting an iOS permission enables technical access to a device feature; it does not replace any legal basis that may be required.

4. Device permissions and your choices

The app asks for microphone access for PTT voice, location access for location features, and camera or photo-library access when you choose to capture or attach media. You can change these permissions in iOS Settings. If you deny or withdraw a permission, the related feature may not work. You can contact your organization or us about account access, correction or deletion.

5. Who receives the data?

Your voice, messages, attachments and, where enabled, location may be available to the users, groups, dispatchers or administrators designated by your organization. Global Radio System S.L. personnel may access data only as needed to operate, secure and support the service. Our service infrastructure is hosted in Amazon Web Services (AWS) in Germany under our account. We may also disclose information when required by law or to protect the rights and security of users and the service. We do not sell your personal data.

6. International access and transfers

The service’s primary hosting is in Germany. If your organization includes users or authorized administrators outside the European Economic Area, information sent through the service may be accessible to them in those locations. If we need to make any other transfer outside the European Economic Area, we will use a lawful transfer mechanism and provide the information required by applicable data-protection law.

7. Retention

Personal data held in our GRS PTT service infrastructure is retained for no longer than six months. If the organizational customer requests deletion sooner, we will delete it earlier, subject to any applicable legal obligation. Copies saved on your own device, such as local message history and attachments, may remain there until you remove the app or its data. Your organization may have its own copies of information it has received or exported and is responsible for its retention of those copies.

8. Security

We use administrative and technical measures intended to limit unauthorized access, loss and misuse of personal data. Access to service data is limited to authorized personnel and users according to their roles. No electronic system can be guaranteed to be completely secure. If you suspect unauthorized use of your account, contact your organization and us promptly.

9. Your data-protection rights

Depending on applicable law and our role in the processing, you may request access to, correction or deletion of your personal data; restriction of processing; data portability; or object to processing based on legitimate interests. Where processing relies on your consent, you may withdraw it at any time without affecting processing carried out before withdrawal. Send requests to [email protected]. If your account is managed by an organization, we may refer a request about its use of the service to that organization. We may need to verify your identity before responding.

You also have the right to lodge a complaint with a data-protection authority. In Spain, this is the Spanish Data Protection Agency (AEPD).

10. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy when the app, our data practices or legal requirements change. We will publish the updated version with a new effective date and, where required, provide additional notice.
